Human Body is a more technical/science unit that is perfect for the budding anatomist in your house! Students will be learning about human anatomy and various systems in the body including: nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and more!
Your writing project for this unit is poetry, focusing on rhymes, rhythm, syllables, Haiku poems, limericks, and more. Students will be learning about sentence fragments and run on sentences, while older students will be going a bit deeper covering difficult topics that are a great starting point for conversations in your home. We have lots of labeling included in the notebooking pages as well as rich Bible and art pages throughout.
If you have younger kids, the technical talk in this unit can be a bit much depending on their age and attention span, so we recommend checking out the samples and/or adapting the unit as you see fit. There are lots of hands on activities to mix things up and make them more interesting, keeping younger kids engaged.
