Introduce your young naturalists to plants with the Apologia Botany curriculum!
Apologia’s Young Explorer Series is a Charlotte-Mason style course using a notebooking journal (sold separately) to have students explain in their own words what they’re learning. . . which also helps with memory retention! In addition to the written notes, mini-book (lap-style) activities, and vocabulary-building exercises in the Notebooking Journals, students will also create their own Nature Journal to take with them as they explore, study, and document the wonderful world of plants and fungi outside.
In this text, students will learn about seeds, pollination, fruits, leaves, roots, taxonomy, and stems, and most importantly, why botany matters. Additionally, students will build and use their own light hut to aid in studying the life cycle of various plant types throughout the year. Each chapter features bright, full-colour photography with bold headings and easy-to-follow instructions for hands-on activities.
