Susan Barton Reading and Spelling System

A Multi-Sensory Approach.

The Barton Reading & Spelling System is a Structured Literacy program that is Orton-Gillingham influenced and evidence based.

Designed for school-aged children and adults with reading challenges or disabilities such as dyslexia, the Barton Reading Program enhances reading, writing, and spelling skills through personalized one-on-one tutoring. This program utilizes the proven Orton-Gillingham method, which teaches the phonemic structure of the English language through a multi-sensory approach. By engaging visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic senses, we cater to learners who benefit from a holistic learning experience. The tailored, one-on-one format of the Barton Reading Program ensures that each participant progresses at their own pace, addressing their unique literacy needs effectively.

The Learning Commons carries levels 1-10. Each pack contains instructional DVDs for the parent or tutor, a manual and color-coded letter tiles. Take your time with the program, as it has an extended loan period.
