Microscopy – S&S Learning Materials – Gr. 5-8

Step-by-step, your students will be introduced to the basic principles of magnification and microscopy, starting with hand lenses. With these self-directed, fun to do exercises, your students will become adept at focusing, using top and bottom lighting, and mounting a wide variety of objects. They’ll be well motivated to learn and apply their newfound skills to a series of investigations that s has them sleuthing to solve mysteries, observe cells, watch crystals grow and do their own independent science projects.
