School is nearly done for the year! Books are being returned, and summer is here! As you relax outside in your lawn chair, find some me time to read some professional development from our Classroom Strategies curation over the summer. There are many great books to choose from, from teaching styles to learning styles. Thank you for being such an amazing community to read with! We hope you have a fantastic summer!
Announcements & Reminders
- If you are not returning to HCOS, all items must be returned to the Learning Commons by June 23rd, 2025. If you have reenrolled for the next school year, you can book items over the summer and make advanced bookings for the next school year. If you are newly enrolled for 2025/26, you will be given access to the Learning Commons in early August.
- Teaching Textbooks have been reduced in price in our used bookstore and are now 50% off the sale price! Many packages are in new condition, and others are gently used. For example, Algebra 1 – $280 is reduced to $90, and now $45 is discounted with the coupon Deep50!
- The Book Bonanza Sale continues! We are open for in-person sales June 10-13, 10 am -4 pm—address: 907 Badke Road in Kelowna.
- The Online Used Curriculum sale ends June 20, 2025—information on discounts.
Resource Updates & Tips
- Subscription passwords will be changed for the new school year starting August 18, 2025. Access the new passwords on the Search Portal or the Learning Commons website under the Subscriptions button
Student Highlights & Contests
- Sora Sweet Reads & Reading Journal – Students are invited to track their summer reading through our reading journal and submit the completed journal to be entered in a prize draw.
