This activity book is designed for children aged 2-12 to use while accompanied by adults at the seashore. The authors, from the West Coast of Canada, have led groups of children on beach expeditions. The theme of “seashore detective” allows children to gain experience on the beach while being motivated to learn as “detectives”. Each 2-page spread offers factual information, which can be read to or by children. The information learned is then put to practical use through guided activities. An excellent addition to nature studies.
