TeachingBooks has more than 11,000 book trailers! Just as you enjoy watching a movie trailer, now you can watch a book trailer. Book trailers will help your students get excited about reading books. Choose “Browse” from the top menu bar then “Books” then “Resource Type.” Scroll down to “Book Trailers.”
TeachingBooks has games to keep your active child engaged. Every book cover can be made into a puzzle of varying difficulty. Word searches, author/illustrator name games, and concentration games are at your finger tips. Choose “For Students” on the top bar. then choose “For Fun” and then “Games.”
TeachingBooks has many teaching resources for parents and teachers. New resources are being added every month. Find “Timely Topics,” “Ready-To-Use Ideas,” and “Instructional Supports.”

November is “Celebrate Picture Book Month.” Find resources under the “For Educators” tab on the top bar. Find Celebrating Picture Book Month under “Timely Topics.”

New to TeachingBooks is their “Phonics and Phonological Awareness” filter. Find book lists ready-made to support learning alliterations, blend and digraph combinations, rhyming and vowel sounds.

Select “Browse” from the top menu bar. Then select collections from the left menu bar and scroll down.

TeachingBooks has many other resources like the ability to easily make book lists, meet-the-author recordings, or the “discover like books” filter for when you don’t know what to read next. You can also choose to have a book read aloud in one of many different languages while reading the text in English.

TeachingBooks can be found in SORA by scrolling down the home page or by going to the Search Portal, where all your up-to-date links, usernames, and passwords can be found. Log in with your Encom username and password.
